Cheney Farmer’s Market

The Cheney Farmers Market is open every Tuesday from 2 – 7 p.m. from now until Sept. 23 in the City Hall parking lot. There will be plenty of fresh local produce along with handmade arts and crafts.

Feed Cheney July meal

Feed Cheney takes place in Veterans Park over the summer, across from the Wren Pierson Community Center, corner of Fourth and C streets. Summertime meals are brown bag suppers, available to all who stop by between 5:30-6:30 p.m. 

The July meal and groceries distribution will be on Monday, July 28 with the meal provided by Cheney United Methodist Church and groceries provided by 2nd Harvest and staffed by community volunteers. The June meal was provided by Cheney Church of the Nazarene. To volunteer, write to feedcheney@gmail.com or visit http://www.feedcheney.org for more information.

Feed Medical Lake

Feed Medical Lake continues its summer sack suppers on the 4th Monday of the month, July 28, from 5 - 6 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 223 S. Hallett St. Anyonecan stop in and pick up a free meal. This is in addition to the free meal and grocery program held on the second Monday of each month. Kiwanis triathilon canceled

The Medical Lake Kiwanis Triathlon scheduled for Aug. 2 at Waterfront Park has been cancelled.

Windsor Baptist VBS

Windsor Baptist Church is holding Vacation Bible School Aug. 4-8. Sessions for children pre-school through sixth-grade are daily from 9 a.m. - noon. Sessions for youth and adults are each evening at 6 p.m.
