Cheney Athletics would like to thank everyone for their support

The Cheney High School Athletic Department would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that supports Cheney High School athletics.

Athletic contest workers, which include ticket takers, announcers, clock operators, concession workers, at the home athletic contests to make them successful.

The Cheney School District director of maintenance, Jeff McClure, and his department, who take care of the athletic facilities, which includes the watering of fields, painting, mowing of fields and maintenance of all athletic facilities.

Cheney School District director of transportation, Paul Harris, and his department, who transport our Cheney High School athletic teams to and from contests and practice facilities in a safe and timely manner.

Eastern Washington University, Cheney Parks and Recreation and the Fairways Golf Course for use of their athletic facilities for practices for athletic contests.

Cheney Police and Fire Departments for their support and safety at athletic contests.

Cheney Free Press for their support of Cheney High School Athletics.

Officials from the different associations who officiate athletic contests in a fair manner.

Cheney High School sports medicine director, Kyle Loughery, and his department for the help they provided preventing accidents from occurring and their help with accidents when they did occur.

Cheney School District School Board for their support of Cheney High School athletic programs.

The businesses and people who support the different athletic program fundraisers to help generate money for the athletic program: Winter Bazaar, Blackhawk Dessert/Silent Auction, and the Blackhawk Golf tournament.

The teachers at Cheney High School and the administration of all of the schools in the Cheney School District for providing support for student learning and their support of their athletic programs.

Cheney School District Superintendent, Dr. Deb Clemens, and Associate Superintendent, Sean Dotson, for their support.

The taxpayers of Cheney School District who, without their support, we would not have great athletic facilities for Cheney High School athletics

Cheney High School coaches who provide students the great learning opportunity to participate in athletics

The Cheney High School Nutrition Department that provides lunches for the student-athletes.

Volunteers who time races, officiate for a track and field event, hold down markers and help with the scorebooks or whatever is needed for the athletic contest to be successful.

Cheney High School student athletes that participate in athletics that demonstrate the Blackhawk commitment to excellence in academics, sportsmanship and effort.

Secretarial staff that help with supporting Cheney High School Athletic Programs by answering questions regarding start times and locations of athletic contests, to purchasing of items for athletics.

Parents and relatives that attend athletic contests to support Cheney High School athletics.

Success in Cheney High School athletics does not stem from wins and losses, but people, businesses, organizations and the Cheney School District being united to support our athletics. The Cheney High School Athletic Program is successful, but is always trying to find new ways to improve our success. Thank you for your continued support of Cheney High School athletics and being part of the Blackhawk commitment to excellence.
