A familiar face is among the three finalists to succeed Eastern Washington University President, Dr. Rodolfo Arévalo, who is retiring this summer.

Dr. Rex Fuller, the current Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Eastern made the cut for the school's top job.

Other finalists include Dr. Tim Mescon, President of Columbus State University in Columbus, Ga. and Dr. Mary Cullinan, President of Southern Oregon University in Ashland, Ore.

The three are from an original pool of 60 applicants that was first pared down to 45 and then eight.

The candidates will be on the Eastern campus between May 29 and June 6 for interviews and an opportunity to interact with students, faculty, staff and community members. They will also visit the EWU Spokane campus at Riverpoint.
