On May 1, 1898, the United States military Asiatic Squadron destroyed the Spanish Pacific fleet at Manila Bay in the first battle of the Spanish-American War. A number of young men from our area fought in that conflict. Learn more about our area’s history at www.cheneymuseum.org....
