United Church of Christ

Members, friends and visitors are always invited to services at Cheney UCC, beginning at 10 a.m. every Sunday.

We are a very welcoming congregation, located at 423 N. Sixth St., across from the high school parking lot.

Nursery care for infants and toddlers is provided from 9:45–11:15 a.m.

Children from ages three through 13 are encouraged to attend Sunday school classes during the worship services.

Upcoming events include a special congregational meeting after worship Sunday, May 4.

Members and others who wish to express opinions on church issues are urged to stay for the meeting.

Coming up on Saturday, May 10, will be the yearly UCC plant sale. This sale features loads of annuals and vegetable starts, along with gorgeous hanging baskets.

It is scheduled for the Saturday immediately before Mother’s Day, so it is a great time to pick up the perfect gift for mom.

United Methodist Church

Worship this Sunday at the United Methodist Church is at 10 a.m.

Guest speaker this week is the Rev. Dirk Robinson from Davenport/Edwall UMC.

He will share about a recent mission trip to Haiti in which members of both churches participated.

Holy Communion will be served. Preceding worship are Christian education classes at 9 a.m.

At 5 p.m. Sunday afternoon the adult fellowship will host a Bloomsday barbecue at the church. Hamburgers will be provided so just bring a side dish to share. All are welcome.

Following the potluck there is an evening worship service at 6 p.m. This service is conversational in style and open to everyone.

Cheney UMC is located at 204 Fourth St. Office hours are 8:15-11:45 a.m. Tuesday through Thursday. For more information about worship or study groups call 235-4600.
