Cheney golf competes in East Valley, Pullman

 


The Cheney boys’ and girls’ golf teams returned to the links after spring break.

The girls competed in the East Valley invite and came away with a team score of 448.

Cheyenne Marchand and Steffi Cunningham both shot 98. This is the first time Marchand and Cunningham shot under 100 this season.

Tessa Heiydt hit for 114, the lowest score for her this season. Jaceya Prophet shot a round of 138.

The next day, the girls traveled to Pullman to compete in the Palouse Ridge Invite. They came in 10th in team scores, shooting 446.

Shyann Morton led the Blackhawks, recording a 101. Cunningham shot 106, Marchand shot 110 and Prophet tallied a 129.

The Cheney boys team also competed at Palouse, shooting 404 for the day. Taylor McNall led the Blackhawks with 93.

Kendall Weller shot a 101 while Tanner Cunningham shot 102. Peter Condon hit 108.

Both teams have big weeks ahead of them. After they both play a GNL match at Palouse Ridge in Pullman,April 22, the girls will compete at the Chewelah Invite Friday, April 25, while the boys will play at the East Valley Invite on the same day.
