Cheney egg hunt at Salnave

The Cheney Kiwanis invite folks to “hop on over” to their annual Easter egg hunt Saturday, April 19 at Salnave Park. The hunt begins precisely at 11 a.m. so don’t be late.

Toddlers to age 10 are welcome so bring a basket to put their plastic eggs filled with candy in. There will also be prizes, the Easter Bunny and lots of fun.

ML egg hunt at Waterfront

The Medical Lake Kiwanis will host their 33rd annual Easter egg hunt, April 19 at 11 a.m ., at Waterfront Park. The age groups are as follows: 0-4 years, 5-6, 7-8 and 9-12.

There will be an appearance by the Easter Bunny and prizes. For more information, please call 509-299-5478.

Challenger meeting April 23

The eighth season of West Plains Little League’s Challenger Division, a program for mentally and physically challenged youth ages 5-18, is coming up. There is a parents’ meeting Wednesday, April 23, at 6 p.m. in the Cheney High School Library to hand out information and talk about the upcoming season that begins May 7.

Shining Stars to perform

Cheney Parks and Recreation Department’s Shining Stars Inclusive Theater is giving three performances of “The Little Mermaid” at Cheney Middle School, 740 Betz Road. The performance dates and times are April 25 at 7 p.m ., April 26 at 6 p.m. and April 27 at 2 p.m.

Tickets may be purchased by calling the Parks and Recreation Department at 498-9250 or also at the door day of performance. Tickets are $5.

Town hall meeting April 30

Their will be a town hall meeting to give 6th District voters a chance to listen and speak to Rep. Jeff Holy (R-Cheney) and Sen. Mike Baumgartner (R-Spokane). The meeting will be at Cheney’s Wren Pierson Community Center, 615 Fourth St ., Wednesday, April 30 at 6 p.m.
