The Cheney girls’ golf team took second place at the first Great Northern League match of the season, March 24, in Clarkston. The Blackhawks finished with a score of 568 —16 strokes behind first-place Clarkston.
In individual scores, Cheney’s Cheyenne Marchand came in third with a 102 while her teammate Steffi Cunningham clinched fourth with a 104. Clarkston’s Grace Frazier placed first after shooting an 84.
Shyann Morton hit 111 while Tessa Heiydt shot 130. Jaceya Prophet and Gabbi Tibbitts recorded scores of 137 and 149, respectively.
