Friends of Turnbull Fundraiser

Friends of the Turnbull National Wildlife Refuge will be hosting their Eighth Annual Dinner and Auction. This event is the group’s primary fundraising event and will be hosted at the Wren Pierson Community Center March 29.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with the silent auction and music. The Bistro at Williams Lake will provide dinner at 6:30 p.m. with a live auction to follow. Tickets are $35, and childcare can be provided for $9 per child (ages 0-10 years) when registered with Cheney Parks and Recreation by March 28.

Cheney Scouts flag fundraiser

Cheney Boy Scout Troops 318 and 381 are accepting new and renewal sign-ups for their flag fundraiser.

For a donation of $30/year, Scouts will post a flag in your front yard (or your business) on each of seven major holidays. Scouts provide the flag, post it early in the morning, remove it in the evening, and store it.

Neighborhoods can band together to get their entire street lined with flags on holidays. Gift subscriptions accepted. Cheney city limits only.

Call Steven and Marjorie Powell at 509- 235-2551 to sign up. Proceeds help Scouts attend summer camp.

MLHS presents “The Boor”

Medical Lake High School will present “The Boor” on March 28 and 29 at 7 p.m. and March 30 at 2 p.m. This one act comedy is about a widow, a debt collector and their unusual relationship. Tickets are $5 and can be bought at the door.

Feed Cheney dinner March 31

Feed Cheney will offer the monthly dinner and groceries Monday, March 31. It’s free and available to all, without any qualifying required. 

It all takes place at the Wren Pierson Community Center at 615 4th St. from 5:30-6:30 p.m. There will also be live entertainment. 

The Cheney Clothing Exchange (clothing bank) will be open from 5-6:30 p.m. Feed Cheney is provided in partnership with Women and Children’s Free Restaurant, Second Harvest, Let’s Move Cheney, and several Cheney churches.
