Looking back with the Cheney Historical Museum

On this date in 1896 Anna Deakin Marshall wrote in her diary, “Had Mr. and Mrs. Hopkinson, Mr. and Mrs. Flood, Mr. and Mrs. Boughton and all their children making in all 17 persons to have over for supper. We had Wild Goose Oyster Soup and crackers, dressing, parsnips, Mashed Potatoes, hot rolls, butter for sauce, Black Berries, Crab apples Cream & Chocolate cake layers.
