Arbor Day Foundation seeks new membership

The Arbor Day Foundation is welcoming new membership during the month of March with 10 trees with a $10 contribution to the group.

The foundation is promoting widespread involvement in Arbor Day by encouraging new members to plant the 10 flowering dogwood trees.

The founder and chief executive of the Arbor Day foundation, John Rosenow, praised the white flowering dogwoods for their year-round contributions and aesthetic beauty.

“Dogwoods are known for their showy spring flowers, scarlet autumn foliage and red berries that attract songbirds in the winter,” Rosenow said.

The trees will be shipped to members with postage paid and include planting and care instructions.

Members of the Arbor Day Foundation will also receive the Foundation’s bimonthly publication “Arbor Day” and “The Tree Book” with a more in-depth guide to tree maintenance and care.
