Medical Lake senior Ricky Petersen advanced two rounds and added one additional match in the consolation bracket in last weekend’s Mat Classic XXVI.
Petersen, a senior at 145 pounds, won his first match 7-3 over Andy Madsen of South Whidby. He lost his second match 9-2 to the two-time state champion, Roberto Orosco of Connell, and his third match 12-5 to Stephen Spading of Kalama.
