Cheney's Levi Walker managed to find and bring the year's first buttercup by the Cheney Free Press office last Thursday before snow blanketed the region Sunday and Monday. Walker was actually out looking for antlers – which he also found – with his mom along Cheney Spokane Road when he spied the yellow flower and earned himself $5.
