Cheney planning commissioners unanimously approved updates to the city’s municipal zoning code under Chapter 21 at their regular meeting held Jan. 13. The commissioners held a public meeting prior to the vote to receive any testimony on the updates, which they have been working on at an accelerated pace since last spring.
No residents provided testimony, and city planner Brett Lucas told the commission they hadn’t received any additional comments since the last meeting in December. The updates now move to the City Council for its approval.
