CHS wrestling fundraiser

Cheney High School wrestlers are having a fundraiser, Saturday Dec. 28 at Rosa’s Pizza in Cheney from 5-7 p.m. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for kids and includes bowling and pizza. There will be lots of silent auction items as well.

Square dancing in Cheney

The High-Flyers Square Dance Club in Cheney is the fastest growing club in the Inland Northwest, with a popular young teacher, Adam Christman. The High-Flyers are holding beginning square dance lessons starting Jan. 5 at 2 p.m. at City Hall.

Everyone is encouraged to relax, laugh, dance, make some mistakes, but most of all to have fun. Lessons are $3.50 per person, but each person’s first lesson is free.

STCU blood drive Friday

The Spokane Teachers Credit Union’s Cheney branch is holding a blood drive to help the Inland Northwest Blood Center on Friday, Dec. 27 from 1:15-5 p.m. at its location at 2718 First St.

INBC needs an average of 200 blood donors every day to meet the needs of more than 35 hospitals in the Inland Northwest. A single donation can save the lives of up to three people.
