Studio Tour – 'Win-Win Situation and Winners'

Letters to the Editor

Sometimes you can’t help but feel like you hit the jackpot. The “Slightly West of Spokane Artists Studio Tour” members feel exactly that way after our fourth annual tour on Nov. 30. We certainly feel lucky that Mother Nature cooperated with “no snow” for this time year. We also feel more than fortunate that we live in an area that supports the arts. A solid turnout with enthusiastic attendees was a win-win situation for the artists and those taking the tour. Speaking of winning – our two raffle winners, Marsha Hein (Spangle) and Barbara Daugherty (Spokane), will each receive a $50 gift certificate for artwork from the tour artist of their choice.

Feeling fortunate also includes feeling gratitude. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all who attended; to our supporters including the Cheney Historical Museum, the West Plains Chamber of Commerce, and Picture Perfect for hosting artists; to our friends and family members who assisted in a multitude of ways; to the City of Cheney for announcing the event on their website; to the Cheney Free Press for John McCallum’s great article and to The Spokesman Review, KPBX Radio and the Inlander for promoting the tour.

Thanks for all the support from the members of the “Slightly West of Spokane Artists Studio Tour.” We’re looking forward to the fifth annual tour, and we’re hoping we’ll be lucky enough to have you join us.
