For your contemplation: “When you love people, you see all the good in them, all the Christ in them. God sees Christ, His Son, in us and loves us. And so we should see Christ in others, and nothing else, and love them. There can never be enough of it. There can never be enough thinking about it.” Dorothy Day

Two very important holiday events happen in the next week. There are only seven shopping (and donating) days until the Christmas Gifts for Cheney Kids project sets up shop in the Wren Pierson Community Center.
So by Dec. 18 please be sure to get your check to Cheney Outreach Center, PO Box 444, Cheney, or place your gifts in a gift-wrapped collection box with a sign identifying it as “Christmas Gifts for Cheney Kids”.
Second, starting at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14, all participants in the Cheney UCC Christmas Program will run through a dress rehearsal to prepare for presenting the program during the Sunday worship service the next day. Please come on time and ready to go. Practice will be capped with a pizza lunch.
On Dec.15 all are invited to the annual Cheney UCC Christmas Program, which will take the place of the sermon. Pastor David Krueger-Duncan will lead the 10 a.m. worship service. Childcare is provided in the Christian Education building during the service.
