Medical Lake City Council tackles budget, salary items

The Tuesday, Dec. 3 Medical Lake City Council meeting saw the second hearing on the 2014 budget and the first reading of a salary ordinance.

The city is proposing spending $9.29 million in 2014, an increase of about $200,00 over 2013 budge. The current expense fund is set to increase from $2,930,148 to $3,230,629 in 2014. Property and excise taxes are the largest sources of revenue for the general fund.
