Hageage steps down as EWU soccer coach

Eastern Washington University Women's Soccer head coach George Hageage will step down from his post at the conclusion of his contract Nov. 30, 2013, announced by athletic director Bill Chaves Monday, Oct. 28.

Assistant coach Julio Morales will lead the program on an interim basis while a national coaching search is conducted.

"We appreciate Coach Hageage's 14 years of service to our women's soccer program, the university and the greater Spokane community," Chaves said in a news release. Hageage's 2013 team struggled with a 1-8 Big Sky Conference record and was 3-15 overall. The Eagles score...
