St. John’s sale is Nov. 1-2

St. John’s Lutheran Church Annual Bazaar and Rummage Sale will be held at 223 S. Hallett St., Medical Lake, Fri., Nov. 1, 9 a.m. - 7 p.m. (Rummage closes 4 p.m.) and Sat. Nov. 2 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. (Rummage closes at 3 p.m.). Homemade sausage, lefse, apple cider, new craft items and baked goods are on the menu. Lunch and supper are available both days with a special family price.

Bake sale for Jeremy Provance cancer treatment

The family of Cheney resident Jeremy Provance is holding a fundraiser for the cancer patient Saturday, Nov. 9 from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Cheney Trading Company, 4 Cheney-Spokane Road. There will be a bake sale and, weather permitting, a car wash.

Jeremy has stage-four malignant melanoma that has metastasized to his brain. He has had three brain surgeries since being diagnosed Sept. 5, 2013. The 36-year-old husband and father has incurred thousands of dollars in medical bills since then.

St. Paul’s bazaar is Nov. 2

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 625 C St. in Cheney, is holding its annual Holiday Bazaar this Saturday, Nov. 2, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Homemade baked goods, soups, candy plus special handmade and gently used gift items will be offered. For more information, call Kathy Lamphere, 624-8400.
