Spokane County opens radio dispatcher job with Sheriff's Office
Spokane County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for radio dispatcher entry level positions.
The dispatcher position receives and transmits messages to and from units operating in the field as well as answers the incoming hotline calls from 911. Also included in the job description includes maintaining logs of communication, in addition to other duties.
The salary range is listed at $3,436.36 - $4,636.84 per month, plus benefits.
Applicants must submit a civil service application, sealed official transcripts, a copy of a current driver’s license, birth certificate, and a copy of their Social Security card. A non-refundable $15 processing fee is also required in the application packet.
The position requires applicants achieve 45 words per minute typing in order to advance on certain portions of the test.
Applications for the position are due Friday, Nov. 1 at 4:30 p.m. and will be followed by a keyboarding exam Friday, Nov. 8. Those who pass the keyboarding test will be scheduled for a written/Zone 911 combination test later in the month.
