CHENEY

Oct. 3

A 13-year-old female was arrested for second-degree assault and sale of a controlled substance and another 13-year-old female was arrested for possession of a controlled substance at Westwood Middle School.

Oct. 7

Third-degree theft was reported on the 2600 block of First Street. Keys were stolen.

Gary B. Alvert, 28, was arrested for second-degree malicious mischief on the zero hundred block of Simpson Parkway.

Third-degree theft was reported on the 2200 block of First Street. A cellphone was stolen.

Third-degree theft was reported on the 1100 block of Oakland Street. Cash was stolen.

A 14-year-old male was arrested for second-degree assault on the 700 block of Betz Road.

Oct. 8

Prescription medications were lost on the 600 block of Villard Street.

Oct. 9

Joshua O. Klein, 35, was arrested for disorderly conduct on the zero hundred block of Seventh Street.

Third-degree theft was reported on the 200 block of South Cheney-Spangle Road.

Rhonda L. Stafford, 40, was arrested for third-degree theft/shoplifting on the 2700 block of First Street.

An all other cases accident was reported on the 500 block of First Street. A truck pulling a trailer caught a tree on D Street and bent it over.

Oct. 10

Britten D. Rieckers, 28, was arrested for third-degree theft/shoplifting on the zero hundred block of Cheney-Spokane Road. Beer was stolen.

Cheney Police Department assisted the Spokane Violent Gang Enforcement Team in arresting a subject on a U.S. Federal Court warrant on the 1700 block of Second Street. Another subject was arrested on the 1000 block of Salnave Road and one on the 800 block of Salnave Road.

Third-degree theft was reported on the 1000 block of Washington Street. A backpack was stolen from a vehicle.

Oct. 11

A 14-year-old male was arrested for possessing a knife on school grounds at Westwood Middle School.

Ricky L. Schattler, 48, was arrested on a Spokane County felony warrant for taking a motor vehicle without the owner’s permission.

Oct. 13

A residential burglary was reported on the 600 block of Clay Street.

First-degree domestic violence/verbal dispute was reported on the 1200 block of First Street.

Third-degree theft was reported on the 300 block of F Street. A backpack and its contents were stolen from a vehicle.

Benjamin C. Gossmeyer, 20, was arrested for third-degree malicious mischief and obstruction on the 100 block of Fifth Street. Windows were broken.

Officers took a report of inappropriate contact/touching on the 200 block of East Barker Street.

George K. Young, 30, was arrested for a DWLS warrant on the 200 block of East SR 902.

Officers took a dead on arrival report on the 16400 block of South Keeney Road.

Officers received a Crime Check theft report on the 1000 block of East Campbell Street.

Officers took a threat report on the 600 block of West Fourth Avenue.

Officers received a Crime Check report of harassment on the 1000 block of East Campbell Street.

Officers responded to an assault call, resulting in the city of Medical Lake taking a report of assault on the 1000 block of East Campbell Street.

Officers took an informational report regarding residential burglary on the 14900 block of North Hedin Road.

Officers took an informational report regarding an argument on the 100 block of South Hallett Street.

Oct. 9

Justin R. Allen, 31, was arrested on a warrant for third-degree DWLS on the 100 block of North Hayford Road.

Kimberly C. Linquist, 29, was arrested for third-degree theft – shoplifting ­- on the 12800 block of West 14th Avenue.

Jeremy C. Breitels, 36, was arrested for third-degree DWLS and a felony warrant for Department of Corrections escape on Highway 2 and Hayford Road.

Oct. 10

William J. Zulkowski, 41, was arrested on a warrant for third-degree theft on the 100 block of North Hayford Road.

Jessie K. Hadley, 23, and Calvin D. Moto, 27, were arrested for fourth-degree assault/domestic violence on the 11800 block of West Centre Lane.

Officers took a report of a dead on arrival/natural on the 13500 block of West Sixth Avenue.

Walker J. Thiel, 39, was arrested on a warrant for malicious mischief/domestic violence on the 100 block of North Hayford Road.

Tracy L. Gibson, 46, was arrested on a felony warrant for escape community custody on Sixth Avenue and Aspen Street.

Beau S. Woods, 34, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance/methamphetamine on the 100 block of North Hayford Road.
