The city of Cheney expected revenues to decrease about $80,000 from its previous budget and officials were in the process of adjusting spending accordingly.
Spokane County was attempting to collect nearly $31,000 in fees from the city of Medical Lake for dispatch services for the community’s police force. Mayor Jim Hill said the city would not pay the county because of their mutual aid agreement.
