Cheney police were busy with problems related to Eastern Washington University’s Homecoming celebration activities that produced over 30 alcohol-related arrests.

After seven months of meetings and discussions, the Cheney Planning Commission unanimously approved recommending to the City Council that off-street parking requirement for businesses in the downtown commercial zone be discarded.
