July 2

A vicious animal was reported on the 1100 block of Heron. Owners of a pit bull were contacted as were Spokane County Regional Animal Protective Services (SCRAPS).

July 4

A report of a possible driver operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol on the 100 block of West First was received. After a chase, police arrested Phillip A. Hayes, 53, for driving under the influence of alcohol (DUI), first-degree assault and attempting to elude police.

Third-degree malicious mischief was reported on the 400 block of Fifth Street. A car window was broken out.
