Fish Lake Trail needs rehab

In a region that values the outdoors, citizens are being deprived of a beautiful gem, the Fish Lake Trail. This trail would allow non-motorized transit between Spokane and Cheney but it sits unfinished, needing only 2.2 miles of pavement. Some people may point to the projected cost ($6 million) and see it as the roadblock but I think it is a lack of information.

I am writing to challenge you to spread awareness of this project. Let’s make the Fish Lake Trail a priority for Spokane County. Let’s build a path that can be enjoyed for generations.

Great point - there's a fund at the Inland Northwest Trails Coalition dedicated to this project - specify FLT at Inlandnorthwesttrails.org and donate (a 501c3 non-profit dedicated to promoting trails in this area).
