Turnbull 'Floods, Flowers and Feathers Festival' Saturday

Turnbull National Wildlife Refuge announces the second annual “Floods, Flowers, and Feathers Festival.”  This event is open to the public and offers free entrance to the Refuge and free events to families and individuals of all ages on Saturday, May 18, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

Enjoy spring by experiencing and learning about the exceptional wildlife, habitats and geology of the unique Channeled Scablands landscape. In partnership with numerous organizations/agencies, the refuge is offering the second annual free spring nature festival with activities for families and individuals of all ages. Take a walk on the wild side, and discover birds, wild flowers, insects, other wildlife, and catch a glimpse of remnants of the Ice Age Floods that created the diverse scablands habitat. Nature hikes, tours, kids activities, and informational booths provided by a number of organizations, will make for a wonderful spring day outdoors in the remarkable environment. 

Turnbull National Wildlife Refuge is partnering with numerous organizations/agencies to make this festival a wonderful outdoor event in a remarkable environment. The refuge is located 4.2 miles south of Cheney, off Cheney-Plaza Road.
