Emmanuel Lutheran Church

Join us for worship this Sunday, May 19, at 10:30 a.m. to celebrate the Day of Pentecost. Please remember to wear red. Christian education classes begin at 9 a.m.

Mark your calendars. Emmanuel Lutheran Church will hold its Vacation Bible School beginning Monday, July 15 through Friday, July 19. Emmanuel will host children entering grades 1-6 this fall from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. so please plan to bring a daily sack lunch. St. Rose Catholic Church will host children ages 3-5 years from 9:30-11:30 a.m. on the same dates as above. Please plan to join the fun.

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church

All are welcome. We are a welcoming haven, nourishing all God’s people in body, mind and spirit.

This Sunday, May 19, is the Day of Pentecost. Holy Eucharist at 11 a.m. Rev. Christine Soule will preach and preside. Child care is available.

Attention college students: Please come and enjoy good food, fellowship, discussion and study each Monday at 5:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall.

Narcotics Anonymous meets in the Parish Hall each Tuesday and Saturday evenings at 7 p.m. Fellowship breakfast is each Thursday morning at 7:30 a.m. in the Parish Hall. Join us for good food, fellowship and discussion. Come and bring a friend.

United Church of Christ

At the Cheney United Church of Christ pastor David Krueger-Duncan will be speaking at the May 19 worship service, designated as “Teacher Recognition Sunday.” All are invited to attend. The service begins at 10 a.m., with child care available in the Christian education building from 9:45-11:15 a.m.

This is the last week that school-age children will have Christian education class after the children’s minutes; they may, instead, attend the entire service with their parents.

During the fellowship time after church, friends new and old will chat over coffee and goodies.

United Methodist Church

Saturday morning the United Methodist Church Birthday Bunch will meet at 9 a.m. at the Buckhorn Inn in Airway Heights. There will be a no-host breakfast and great fellowship.

Celebrate the beginning of the liturgical season of Pentecost this Sunday at UMC. Worship is at 10 a.m. each Sunday and is led by the Rev. Terry Hall. Sunday school classes for all ages begin at 9 a.m. weekly through the school year.
