Calling all cakes and edible confections of all kinds.
It’s time for Books2Eat, the annual edible book festival sponsored by the Eastern Washington University’s JFK Library and volunteer friends of the library. The all-you-can-eat event takes place 1-4 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, in the library lobby. Faculty, staff, students and the public are invited to make and submit tasty eats (not needing refrigeration) with a literary theme and have them judged for prizes by hungry attendees. All entries must be in by noon May 22. Once awards are given, everything is sliced and served at approximately 2:30 p.m. Contest rules and information is available at ewu.edu/library, click “Events,” or at 509-359-2264.
