Three injured in SR 902/Craig Road crash

A two-car accident on SR 902 sent three Reardan residents to the hospital Thursday afternoon.

According to a Washington State Patrol accident report, about 5:48 p.m. a 2010 Buick Lucerne driven by Four Lakes resident Wesley Stone, 79, was northbound on Craig Road and struck an eastbound 2008 Chevrolet HHR driven by Virgil L. Jorgenson, 77, of Reardan while crossing the intersection with SR 902. Jorgenson along with two passengers in the vehicle, Caryl E. Jorgenson, 72, and Kayla C. Anthony, 17, all of Reardan, were injured and transported to Deaconess Hospital.

Another passenger in the Chevrolet, 18-year-old Nikia E. Anthony, was uninjured, as was Stone. The WSP report noted failure to yield as the cause of the collision and charged Stone with negligent driving.
