The Cheney girls’ track and field team experienced an historic moment last Thursday as a pair of school records were set – Chae Brown in the triple jump at 37 feet, 7 inches and Erin Clark in the pole vault at 11-06.
That was on the shiny side of the dual meet coin with visiting East Valley and Deer Park. On the other side, the Blackhawk girls suffered their first Great Northern League dual meet loss in five years, losing 85-65 to the Knights, but easily out pointing the Stags, 97-53.
