Annual Ice Age Floods Institute spring lecture, field trip May 3-4

The Ice Age Floods Institute, Cheney-Spokane Chapter is sponsoring a free public lecture, Friday, May 3, “Anatomy of Cheney-Palouse Scabland Tract,” at 7 p.m. in the JFK Library auditorium, Eastern Washington University, Cheney campus. Dr. Gene Kiver will discuss the size, extent and importance of the Cheney-Palouse Scabland Tract.

The annual Ice Age Floods spring field trip follows the next day, May 4, from 7:30  a.m. to 6 p.m. The field trip is an all-day deluxe bus tour that will explore the Rock Creek section that drains the east side of the huge Cheney-Palouse Scabland Tract.
