Cheney Community Church

Life Line Screening will be available at Cheney Community Church on Tuesday, April 9, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Second Street entrance. The public is invited to take advantage of this opportunity to obtain ultrasound screening for a variety of factors related to stroke.

Several options are provided including screening for stroke/carotid artery, heart rhythm, abdominal aortic aneurysm, peripheral arterial disease, and osteoporosis risk. These are available as individual tests or in packages.

With public schools back in session next week our regular ministries resume. Awana Club meets 6:30 p.m., Wednesday. Youth group (middle school and high school teens) meets 6 p.m., Friday.

Join us for Sunday morning worship at 10 a.m. Children’s church and nursery care is provided. Visitors are always welcome. The church is located at 1307 Third St. (on Pine Street between Second and Third Streets). Call 235-4841 for more information.

Emmanuel Lutheran Church

Emmanuel Lutheran Church celebrates the Second Sunday of Easter this Sunday, April 7. Christian education classes for grade school children through adults begin at 9 a.m. All are welcome to worship at 10:30 a.m. Fellowship follows at 11:30 a.m.

United Church of Christ

Pastor David Krueger-Duncan will lead the communion service during the 10 a.m. worship service in the United Church of Christ located at 423 N. Sixth St. All are welcome.

Child care is available in the nursery from 9:45-11:5 a.m. The end will come soon for the children’s mission project to assemble items for Birthday Bags. They especially need candles, cake mix and frosting.

We will be doing a new pictorial church directory. During the next month or so, if you would like to have your family picture taken for the Church Directory, you may 1. call the church secretary to schedule an appointment between 9-10 a.m. or 11 a.m. to noon or, 2. come to the Fireside Room during those two hours as a “walk in.”

Please also join friends new and old for the fellowship hour following the service.

United Methodist Church

Join us for worship this Sunday at the United Methodist Church, 204 Fourth St. Morning worship is at 10 a.m. and is led by the Rev. Terry Hall. Sunday school classes resume this week for all ages at 9 a.m.

Sunday evening there is a second worship service, more conversational in style, at 6 p.m. All are welcome at either service.
