First half 2013 property taxes due to county by April 30

It’s that time of year again for Spokane County property owners. County treasurer Rob Chase is reminding taxpayers that their first half property taxes are due by April 30, as per Washington State law. 

If payments are mailed to the Treasurer’s Office through the U.S. Postal Service, they must be postmarked on or before the due date as per RCW 1.12.070. Consequently, those who mail their payment on the due date should be sure that it’s early enough in the day to ensure they are postmarked before the tax deadline.
