Beverly Greene Boyes

Surrounded by her loving family, Beverly passed away at home in Auburn, Wash. on Jan. 16, 2013. She was the great-granddaughter of prominent and early Cheney resident Frank Clark Greene and granddaughter of F. Clark Greene, a resident of Benge, Wash.

Beverly was born in Ritzville, Wash. Jan. 8, 1937 to the late Frank T. and Lillie M. Greene. She spent her early childhood in Lamont, Spokane and finally settled in Scribner next to Marshall, Wash. She attended Marshal Grade School and graduate from Cheney High School. Beverly was faced with overwhelming challenges, beginning at an early age. Despite all she had to endure she accepted it with endless strength, courage and indomitable spirit. Always putting others first, making no demands and never complaining.

She will be remembered for her generosity, her caring for others and a nature that earned her the love and respect of all who knew her. Beverly had three children and six grandchildren. She was an extremely positive influence in their lives, showing boundless devotion to them.

Beverly loved reading, sewing, painting and gardening. To remember someone close in your life you cannot help but remember the strength of their presence and personal traits. Beverly will certainly be remembered for her laughter. She will be remembered for her compassion, her love, her sacrifices, and above all else, her smile and laughter.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Glenn Boyes; three children, Denise Bronger, Tacoma, Wash., Craig Boyes, Enumclaw, Wash., Jennifer Boyes, Auburn, Wash., and six grandchildren: Rachael Bronger, Emily, Parker and DeLainey Boyes, Madeleine and Alexander Gasperi.
