Blackhawks swim to trio of wins in busy week

Cheney High’s boys swimming team has been busy since the beginning of the year. In fact, really busy over seven days – three meets, five teams and a trio of wins.

The Blackhawks opened 2013 with a pair of wins in a Jan. 5 meet with Prosser and Grandview at Lion’s Pool in Yakima, beating the Mustangs 78-61 and Grandview, score not available at press time.

Jeff Edwards and Scott Nadeau led the Blackhawks with wins in the 200-yard individual medley (2:30.95) and the 100 butterfly (1:02.17) respectively. Edwards was also first in the 500 free (6:00.62), with Arseniy Tepp second in 7:04.53 while Na...
