Margaret A. Kaplan (age 92) longtime resident of Spangle, Wash. passed away Dec. 27, 2012 in Spokane.
Margaret was born May 28, 1920 near Chapman Lake south of Cheney to W.J. and Hilda (Dybdall) Grogan. She was a graduate of Cheney High School, class of 1939. Margaret worked on the family ranch as well as helping her uncle Ole at Chapman Lake Resort before her marriage to Gene Kaplan in 1954. She returned to the resort as the owner in 1990.
Margaret’s interests included being a 4-H leader, gardening, crochet and embroidery work, she was an excellent seamstress, making clothes for her daughters...
