Blackhawks’ swimmers show improvement despite two opening losses

The Cheney boys swimming team showed improvement in their first – and last – two meets of the 2012 portion of the season. The Blackhawks lost both times out, 105-68 at home Dec. 6 against fellow 2A school West Valley-Yakima and 119-49 Dec. 8 on the road against 4A Walla Walla.

Chris Boyle and Scott Nadeau led Cheney against the Rams. Boyle captured a pair of first place finishes, winning the 50-yard freestyle in 25.64 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:13.97. Nadeau captured first in the 500 free in 6:01.45.
