Predictions come true for Medical Lake cross country at state
Boys finish third, girls eighth in historical efforts for school

Going into last Saturday’s State cross country championships at Sun Willows Golf Course in Pasco, Medical Lake’s head coach Gene Blankenship made a prediction.
Blankenship thought a finish anywhere from third to sixth for the boys was not out of the question, while the girls could place from sixth to ninth in team competition.
“Pretty close, huh,” Blankenship said with a laugh after the Cardinal boys finished third and the girls eighth on the 5,000 meter course.
