It was on Sept. 25, 1858 that Colonel George Wright hung the Indian leader, Qualchan, at a bend along Latah creek. Six more Indian men were hanged the next day, forever changing the name of the creek to Hangman. Learn more about our area's history at http://www.cheneymuseum.org.
