Body Harmony Massage grows with new First Street location

Staff Reporter

Marisa Wunderlich was nearly giddy leading a tour through her new space during an open house Monday.

The new home of Body Harmony Massage and Spa at 1708 First St. is a big expansion for the business, with two massage rooms, a sauna and plans for more. Wunderlich started Body Harmony about five years ago in a one-room location in Cheney before moving to a bigger location and now to the First Street storefront.

“It's very exciting,” she said of the new space, which she opened last week after extensive renovations. “It was a little scary but life is full of big adventures.”

Wunderlich has hired two new massage therapists to add to her own work, Krystal Bevins and Nikka Yankens. The staff offers a range of massage options, facials, aromatherapy and other spa treatments.

Wunderlich credits local support and referrals from local clinics for the success of her business.

“I want to give back in any way I can,” she said, adding she sells locally made soap, jewelry and other items at Body Harmony to support other local businesses.

Body Harmony is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. by appointment only. For more information call 235-1870.
