Eastern Washington University is changing its master plan to reflect more of a residential campus look and be less of a commuter school. The university penned the original master plan in 1993 and changes will set the agenda for any future construction on campus.

The intersection of College Avenue and First Street is more than just the place where two roadways come together. Turns out the 45 degree angle the intersection forms served a dual purpose in the 1920s as a directional arrow for airplanes flying from the west as they approached the Spokane airport.
