Casey Sweet of Medical Lake has been awarded a Presidential Scholarship for $2,500 to Eastern Washington University for the 2010-2011 academic year. Sweet will graduate from Medical Lake High School this year, where he plays tennis and ran cross country. He was also a member of windbourne choir, concert band, wind ensemble, jazz band and pep band.
He will attend EWU in the fall where he hopes to study music and forensics. Sweet is the son of Frank and Susan Sweet of Medical Lake.
