Cheney High School's boys bowling team finished 11th out of 14 teams at the Washington State Bowling Proprietors' Association state tournament held Feb. 20-21 at Triangle Bowl in Longview.
The team of Brian Oens, Drew Henry, Dakota Torkelson, Tyler Gilbrech, Brandon Dixon and Preston Dean rolled a team per game average of 170.80 to finish with 30.5 points, a half point back of the team from Woodinville High School. Kelso High School took the title with an average of 185.68, 49 points.
In girls Division B action, Cheney's Madison Dean finished fourth overall with an eight game average of 148.875.
