Eastern quarterback Matt Nichols (16) mades a cut and stirs up some dust as he races towards the end zone in last Saturday's Big Sky Conference football game in Missoula. Nichols was stopped short of scoring but Taiwan Jones did get the touchdown to tie the game 34-34. Montana went back down the field to score the game winning points with 1:18 to play in a 41-34 win.

The Eastern Eagles know better than anyone how to win football games at Washington-Grizzly Stadium in Missoula. They are the team that has over the years won more games – four – than any other Big Sky Conference school in the cozy confines of that facility.
On the other hand, Eastern also knows all too well the sting that comes with heartbreaking defeats there, and last Saturday provided yet another reminder that will stick in players and fans memories for years to come.
