EWU hockey announces 2009-10 home schedule, season tickets

The Eastern Washington University hockey team has unveiled their 17-game 2009-10 home schedule at the universityâ€™s Student Recreation Center.

The season kicks off Friday, Sept. 25 at 7:30 p.m. with an exhibition game against the Tri City Titans junior team. Eastern will also host Nevada Las Vegas, Utah State, Colorado State and San Jose State in the teamâ€™s second annual Showcase, set for January 14-17.

Eastern also faces off against the University of Washington and University of Oregon. They meet Portland State University for the first time.

Eastern comes off a 2008-90 season where they were ranked second in the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) Western Division. The team once again qualified for the national tournament.

In addition, the team will offer a limited number of season tickets at $75 each as a way of raising additional funds to cover travel and equipment.
