Fugitive felon targeted through Secret Witness

 


Secret Witness is offering a cash reward for information that results in the capture of a fugitive who is currently wanted for escape by the Department of Corrections.

Richard Jack Smith's lengthy criminal career, according to Sgt. Dave Reagan, Spokane County sheriff's spokesman, includes convictions for possession of controlled substances, unlawful possession of firearms, theft, refusing to cooperate, making false statements, malicious mischief, possessing drug paraphernalia, driving while suspended, probation violations and third-degree assault on law enforcement.

Smith is a 29-year-old white male who is 6-foot-1 and weighs 225 pounds. He has red hair, hazel eyes and last gave his home address as 125 S. Green in Spokane.

Persons with information regarding his whereabouts should call the Secret Witness Tip Line at 327-5111. Callers do not have to give their name to collect the cash reward but should leave a code name or number with the operator.

Secret Witness is a civilian organization that pays cash rewards for information that solves Spokane-area crimes. It is not affiliated with law enforcement.
