EWU Lunch and Learn lecture set for March 29

 


Eastern Washington University's Office of Continuing Education continues its Lunch and Learn Red Bag public lecture series on March 29 at the university's Spokane Center, 750 W. First Ave., with “Ethics Matters: Business Ethics – An Oxymoron?” presented by guest speaker John Pederson, current director of membership of the Greater Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce.

The lecture will begin at noon and lasts until 1 p.m. and is free to those who attend.

Pederson's lecture will cover a broad spectrum of complex issues surrounding business ethics and its role in today's workplace and the corporate world.

There will also be comprehensive discussion on ethics codes, business environments, managerial strategies and debunking common ethics myths.

Pederson is a native of Spokane and a former Coeur d'Alene resident. He has served in chief executive positions with the Better Business Bureau of Central New England and the Heart of Texas. His career background also includes 15-plus years in marketing, sales and corporate communications, plus 12 years active duty as a pilot with the United States Air Force.
