Emmanuel Lutheran Church

“Who are Lutherans?” Have you ever wondered? Lutherans come from somewhere and would like to be everywhere.

Lutherans originated as people who were involved with church reform in Scandinavia and Germany.

However, they believe that their message of a God who forgives sinners is for everyone.

Lutherans believe that the Christian good news knows no racial, ethnic, economic, national, or gender-related boundaries.

We look forward to worshiping with you this Sunday as we celebrate the second Sunday in Lent.

Sunday Morning worship service is as follows:

The second Sunday in Lent. Holy Eucharist with music at 11 a.m. 

The Rev. Barrett Lindsey, priest and vicar, will preside. Child care is available during the 11 a.m. service.  Coffee hour follows the service.

Adult Education, together with Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 9:30 a.m. to 10:20 a.m., at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Cheney. 

The series' focus is on the book, “Reclaiming the Great Commission,” by Episcopal Bishop Claude Payne.

Wednesday at 7 a.m. the regular fellowship breakfast.

United Methodist Church

The second Sunday of Lent will be celebrated with the sacrament of Holy Communion at both the 8:20 a.m. and 10:50 a.m. services of worship at the UMC this week.

The Rev. Joanne Coleman Campbell will lead the services and

the Bible study. At 9:45 a.m. Sunday school classes for ages 3 through adult will be available.

Monday, March 5, the Methodist Merry Makers will meet at the church for a potluck lunch at 12:30 p.m.
