Hundreds of youngsters flocked to Salnave Park for the annual Easter Egg hunt. The effort was truly a community event, as the Cheney Fire Department transported the Easter Bunny to the park and sounded the siren that sent kids scrambling. Kiwanis members provided the manpower, dyeing more than 3,000 eggs and hiding them throughout the park. Wilcox Farms donated the eggs and Ben Franklin provided special baskets to those who discovered "golden eggs."
